The cello is a wonderful instrument that’s easier to get started with than many people think. It works well for students from age 5 right through to adults. Whether you want to play classical music, folk tunes, or modern songs, the cello is incredibly versatile and rewarding to learn.
I’ve developed a patient, encouraging approach that adapts to each student’s individual needs and learning style. I have extensive experience working with neurodivergent students and understand that everyone learns differently. With 15 years of teaching experience, I focus on making sure you enjoy your lessons while building solid technique. We’ll start with simple pieces that sound good right away, then gradually work on more challenging music as your skills develop.
I can help you find the right size cello to rent or buy, and I offer flexible lesson times on weekdays and in the evenings.
Lessons are 30, 45, or 60 minutes depending on what works best for you. When you’re ready, there are opportunities to play for friends and family at informal recitals.
