I teach both lever and pedal harp, and you can get started quite affordably with a 22-string harp – there’s lots of wonderful music available for smaller harps too. Whether you’re drawn to Celtic melodies, classical pieces, or contemporary songs, the harp offers incredible versatility. It’s suitable for students from around age 5 upwards, and many adults find it a deeply rewarding instrument to learn.
I’ve developed a patient, encouraging approach that adapts to each student’s individual needs and learning style. I have extensive experience working with neurodivergent students and understand that everyone learns differently. With 15 years of teaching experience, I make harp lessons enjoyable while building proper technique from the start. I often compose and arrange music specifically for my pupils, so you’ll have pieces that suit your level and interests perfectly. The harp community is wonderfully welcoming, and I run an adult harp ensemble that meets 6 times a year – it’s a lovely way to make music with others.
