It’s perfect for children from age 5 upwards and great for adults who want to reconnect with music. You can even take graded exams on recorder, making it a serious musical pursuit.

With 15 years of teaching experience, I make recorder lessons fun and engaging while building important musical foundations like reading music, rhythm, and breath control. We’ll start with simple tunes that children recognize and enjoy, then gradually introduce more varied repertoire as confidence grows.
Recorder lessons are typically 30 minutes long and available on weekdays and in the evenings. I teach all sizes of recorder and can advise on which one to start with (they’re very reasonably priced), and provide all the music and materials needed.
